Role and Responsibilities: As the UX/UI designer for Gamify Wellness, I led the design process to create an engaging app that motivates users to stay active through gamified physical challenges. My responsibilities included conducting user research, designing user flows, creating wireframes, and delivering high-fidelity prototypes. I collaborated with developers and product managers to ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience that promotes fitness goals while tracking user progress effectively.
In collaboration with Gamify Wellness, I served as the UX/UI Designer to develop a dynamic mobile app aimed at motivating users to stay active through engaging physical challenges.

Gamify Wellness is designed to inspire users to embrace an active lifestyle by tracking their progress, fostering a sense of achievement, and making fitness an enjoyable experience.
The client approached me with a clear vision to promote active lifestyles by addressing the lack of engaging solutions for fitness enthusiasts and beginners alike.
Staying consistent with physical activity can be challenging, as users often struggle with motivation and maintaining their progress over time.
Gamify Wellness needed a gamified solution that motivates users through fun, competitive challenges while making it easy to track their fitness goals and achievements.
The challenge was to design an intuitive app that appeals to diverse user groups, from casual exercisers to fitness enthusiasts, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
In the Discovery phase, I focused on understanding the challenges and opportunities in maintaining fitness motivation. I identified key users, including fitness enthusiasts and beginners, to gain insights into their goals, barriers, and motivations. This helped uncover pain points related to engagement, tracking progress, and finding relevant physical challenges.

Based on the research, I developed a key user persona for the Gamify Wellness app. This persona represents a busy professional striving to stay active, highlighting their motivations, challenges, and preferences to guide the design of engaging and effective fitness solutions.
In the wireframing phase, I focused on creating the structural layout of the Gamify Wellness app to establish a functional framework for the user interface. Using low-fidelity wireframes, I mapped out key screens and user flows, such as challenge selection, progress tracking, and reward systems, ensuring intuitive navigation and alignment with user needs. This process provided a solid foundation for refining and enhancing the app's design.

In the Testing phase, I conducted thorough usability testing to validate the effectiveness of the Gamify Wellness app's design. This involved collecting feedback from real users to identify usability issues and areas for improvement. To better understand user interactions, I used heatmap analysis to visualize engagement with key features, such as challenges and progress tracking. The insights from testing and heatmaps guided final adjustments, ensuring the app was intuitive, engaging, and aligned with user needs.
My client, Corey, was highly collaborative and provided valuable feedback throughout the design process. Their openness to new ideas and clear communication made it easy to align our goals and create a solution that met their needs. This strong partnership allowed us to develop a product that both of us were proud of, ensuring a successful outcome for the Gamify Wellness app.
The Gamify Wellness app resulted in a noticeable increase in user engagement and motivation. Key metrics indicated higher app usage, a greater number of challenges completed, and positive feedback from users about the gamified experience.
